Who Are Pariplay & What is Their History?
Pariplay were founded around a decade ago in 2010, and although not as well known a name as many in the business, they are a significant player in the online gaming industry.
The company’s headquarters are on the UK overseas territory of Gibraltar, but its main operational offices are distributed across much of Europe and beyond. It has major centres on the UK protectorate of the Isle of Man, Bulgaria, Israel and India. The company has around one hundred employees in total, of whom around half are located in Bulgaria. It is here that the major software development operations take place.
In 2019, the company was acquired by the major casino operator Aspire Global, which valued it for its software platform, extensive games portfolio and its pre-existing licence to operate in the American state of New Jersey. This presented Aspire with three discrete areas of synergy making it an ideal fit for its own operations and future expansion plans. Aspire Global paid over €13 million to complete the takeover.
While the company’s new owners and potential casino operators value their easy to use software platform, it is understandable that it is on this area that much of the company’s focus is directed. Their ‘Fusion’ technology enables operators to use a whole suite of data and game analytics to ensure their players get the best possible experience on their sites. And if their players are happy, so are the operators.
Moreover, if casino operators are satisfied then Pariplay’s Business to Business (B2B) operation is going well, which means their new owners are happy too. Much of the company’s recent activities have been directed toward developing these B2B relationships and new licencing partnerships are being arranged all the time in order to increase the company’s influence in the industry. New licencing agreements with operators in Portugal and Romania have increased Pariplay’s territorial reach. Meanwhile, a new partnership with major sports betting and casino operator Bet Victor will improve the company’s profile both within the United Kingdom and throughout the European continent.
Pariplay Games
From the typical player’s point of view though, it is of course Pariplay’s slot designs which are of primary importance. These have taken a bit of a back seat since the takeover, as the new corporate ownership arrangements work themselves through. Nevertheless, the company does continue to design new titles, and there is also Pariplay’s considerable back catalogue of games to consider.
Although the company have produced over one hundred games in total, this represents a less than prolific rate of fewer than a dozen per year on average. If anything, production has slowed down since the change of ownership, but new games do continue to roll off the production line on an occasional basis.
The majority of Pariplay’s output is video slots, and although the quantity may low, the quality is undoubtedly high. There are some firm player favourites amongst their portfolio. These include Pot O’ Gold, the lucky Leprechaun themed game, and Luxor, the lush pyramid themed game whose popularity runs far beyond the usual pharaonic fan club. Bloodshot and its sequel Bloodshot: Rising Spirit are superb action filled slots, while Zombies Gone Wild and Wild Thirst explore the darker side of the five reel spin game.
If you prefer spins to run along more gentle themes, there are plenty of more relaxing, fun filled titles to explore. Why not try Fur Ball, the cuddly animated Pets, or maybe Fruity Friends?
The company have also produced some older titles which are already regarded as classics by many critics and players. Sharknado is surely an example of these. Based on a little remembered and somewhat cheesy TV sci-fi / disaster movie, this simple slot will have you running from the water almost as quickly as if a real Great White was approaching.
In addition to their selection of slots, Pariplay are also responsible for the production of a number of other types of games. On the traditional side of the casino, there are table games like Roulette, while other more traditional options include Bingo and Keno. The company have also designed over a dozen other instant games and scratch cards, many based on a re-imagination of their existing slot themes.
Pairplay in Summary
Although the company has without doubt been through some uncertain times with its recent change of ownership, the future looks bright for this innovative outfit. Managing Director Adrian Bailey continues to steer the ship under the new owners Aspire Global’s corporate umbrella. While the attention of the company remains turned toward its B2B operations at the time of writing, we can still expect to see further games continue to roll off the Pariplay production line.
When you include the company’s decade long legacy of excellent games, it is clear that the overall quality is high. With the financial muscle of their new owners to call upon, it is more than likely that Pariplay will continue to produce more new games on a regular basis. This means that the company represents a worthy addition to any online casino’s roster of game software suppliers.
